Hi,

I have recently upgraded to Airtel Xstream Fiber 100 mbps plan and they have installed the Nokia g-140w-f router (primary router) for the same. The range is very bad in 1 of my rooms due to the structure of the house. I have a spare modem - TP-Link tl-wr841n (secondary router) lying around which I want to use for bridging to extend the range. I followed some youtube videos and changed the settings in the TP Link router - Such as enabling WDS, choosing the same channel as router 1 etc. Even after this, it shows connected but no internet when I connect to my secondary router. Have I missed some steps? Do we need to connect the primary and secondary router at any time via a lan cable? (Nothing mentioned in the videos I followed). Please help with if the above two routers can be bridged and steps for the same.

Please note: I have not changed any settings on the primary Nokia router provided by Airtel as the videos did not mention anything on that.

You should connect the Nokia router to TP-Link by ethernet cable otherwise your speed will be very bad and will clog up wifi even further. I would suggest TP-Link documentation here. Reset your TP-Link before doing this though.

Also, I don't think you'll be able to hit 100Mbps on your wr841n as it is a WiFi N router. I would suggest getting an Wifi AC router such as this one.
