Kinda saw this coming. I guess I'll be shipping stuff to U.S forwarding address and then shipping it to India.

Have goods shipped to a parcel forwarding service like MyUS, Planet Express or shopandship then ship it back to India. Shipping from AliExpress to US is cheap by post (this isn't available right now to India) and then ship it back to India.

Shipping back stuff to India will have added cost so this can only be done for more expensive goods to be worth it. You can buy multiple stuff and have it consolidated and shipped back together to save shipping costs more.

Although this will be tough to manage and communicate. if multiple people need something from AliExpress we can get it shipped to US (or some other country) and then get it shipped to india, splitting the shipping cost.but we will have to ship it again once it reaches india to everyone's respective location. Seems like a headache but worth a shot of this ban is permanant.
We can try like getting it shipped statewise. Like people from Delhi can get it to someone's house and collect it from there, similarly for other states.
Again It's too much work but we can try if needed 🙂

i have a bunch of small items that i would love to get. of course you would need someone with that export import license thing like @varkey has... because otherwise you would end up paying 40% more as duty on everything.

what about those small yet very important goods like glue for screen repairs(i do my own repairs), small ICs, transistor, diode, tiny heat sinks...etc. stuff which costs 5-10 rupees per pc and is sold here in India for 100-150 per pc or most of the times not even found.

This article is from June 24, packages are moving through now. My package through Aramex was held at China till 2 days back (since June 20 or so) and has been forwarded from China. It's on its way, just that customs require 100% inspection so there might be some clearance delay.

All my packages through express courier mode get opened anyway (probably cause it's not bulk, and just one off packages) so it's not new. Just that the additional burden to inspect other packages might slow things.

Regarding package forwarding, try getting an account opened with Aramex Shop&Ship. It's pretty cheap for forwarding, 10$ for first half kg, and 8$ for each additional half kg plus GST. If you have the IEC, you get stuff cleared at actual category wise rates. They don't do consolidation though.

However, one thing to note is that, any package coming through express courier mode will have a duty at the assessed value. When sent through post, depending on your luck, most things would come duty free.

Is there a way to ship lithium batteries from china without BIS by just using IEC code? I tried on alibaba but all sellers just cannot ship.

AliExpress cancelled other misc electronic orders (ship via DHL) cos DHL stopped accepting packages in china.
