Exactly.... That is where price categorisation could come into picture..
Like if you want to just browse the net or do casual stuff where medium latency, moderate speeds are accepted, they would charge you less. For IoT, tele-medicine and other use cases where latency, speeds are highest priority, the end user will have to dole out more money. And it makes sense, they are giving you highest priority for the service. The question is how much money?
@shashankb yup agreed, post 2-3 years when we have 4k content and the supporting infra (internet, displays), then higher speeds would make sense.
On a side note, just thinking how much would a 4k panel for a mobile would cost. Initially, it will be expensive till economy of scale hits and they become cheaper. Gaming is picking up, but I am expecting higher pricing as it requires very low latency.
Funfact.. I still can't play a 1080 video on mobile data without buffering initially and also seeking forward or backward.😜 So while content is available, it's still a luxury to play it buffer free.
@socrates Could you elaborate the issue? Are you talking about people burning 5g towers due to fear of spreading corona virus?
