I had originally made a post about this in the topic 'To Mr.Surjeet' but I realized it may not be seen by everyone. So here I post it again. Someone mentioned it would be nice to have an actual chat (like instant messenger chat) so I created a MSN group http://groups.msn.com/Sifybroadband this group is only intended to be used for its chat feature.

Sushubh already created an IRC channel i think ... irc.opera.com #india i think ... hey sushubh you may want to put up a web based client like PJIRC on this site so ppl w/o irc clients can access it.

A client like PJIRC takes up a lot of memory and is cpu intensive. You need a VPS or dedicated server if you want to use it.
Unless 10 people are chatting about sifybroadband at a time it doesn't really make sense to have a chan for that.
If you really want to create a chan, go to irc.freenode.net or irc.dal.net or efnet or undernet and register a chan there.
Most of these irc networks already have #india channels. So you might want to test them before creating your own.

i am trying getting java based client up 😛 never worked with them. if u have mozilla suit or opera 7.5+ or mirc or any other irc client, u can do join 😛

msn chatrooms are not accessible in india.yahoo chatrooms are well buggy.irc is accessible from web, ur browser (opera) and other free software. its open and its geeky. 😉
