Yesterday Idea competed its network integration in Maharastra Goa Circle and other circle also.

After which I am facing network issue like slow speed and not even able to contact customer care through 199 (new), But 12345 (old idea care number) is still reachable but call gets disconnected as soon as we press option to connect call to customer care executive.

Even loading WhatsApp image takes time.

Anyone else facing such problem.

Does this happen everywhere? I’m from Kolkata and they finished their integration a couple of months back, but I haven’t heard anything like that happening.

Idea postpaid is being migrated to Vodafone Postpaid. One chap posted it in another forum. You're gonna have to wait for a couple of days. I believe they're moving all Idea numbers to Vodafone, and will slowly kill off the Idea brand.

I got the message on 15 June stating that from 22 June to 29 June they will be doing network integration so if any problem then pls. give them time till 29 June after which everything will be fine. But nothing is fine after 29 June, even whatsapp image not loading.
So according to the message the integration was completed on 29.

Also in the message they told that 199 will be new customer care number which is of Vodafone. But if I call 199 it say invalid number. So even I called old 12345 idea customer care were executive told to call 199 since they shifted the Database to 199 for postpaid so they can't help.

@devangpatel do the changes in APN settings. change apn address to "www" from "Internet" and select Ipv4/Ip6 from IPv4 if selected earlier. Hope this helps. You might need to do these changes since you have been shifted from Idea server to Voda.

I tried this, but nothing helped. I even selected network in manually, still no improvement.
I also tried band locking to see if any particular band is having problem, but in all band in my area I get poor result only.

I will try to get new sim, since many people insisted to do so. this might help.

If nothing works then I will port all my numbers to Jio.

@devangpatel changing sim will not help. No point in trying. Once sim is registered in voda system then their is no issues. Speed has nothing to do with sim card. You can port out. Anyways I don't see much future of this company. Good time for you to port

@cooltexas60s I am trying to say that my current sim I guess is still registered under idea still after integration. So, changing to new Vodafone sim may help.

Also your point is correct since no use of staying in Vodafone's sinking ship 😂.

@cooltexas60s changing APN din't helped me so I finally ported out to Airtel 😂

Basically Vodafone shutdown some cell sites antennas in my place to save running cost, I confirmed this with one tower installation guy who lives near me.

And in some villages they were less customer they shamelessly shutdown hole towers

@devangpatel but did you switch sim card to vodafone one as you told last time???

Was the tower installation guy from the competitor ???? Yes voda is taking steps like switching off towers to save cost but Lot of concentrated effort is going on to tarnish image of vodafone while it struggle with its operations. While some news is true about its health but some is also added by competition.

I would rather stay with one connection Jio rather than buy overpriced Airtel 499 Thakela useless plan as additional connection. Airtel is one trickster, Tickets remain open without resolution. Sweet talk is only till you are buying the connection after that they turn devils.. With Jio you pay less and expectations are also less in terms of fancy customer service. so i am happy. I get good signal from all except BSNL. but i feel Jio is best overall for me. Jio is also available in remotest villages or hill station when travelling in south. Airtel and vil cut corners here, vil even more.

ya I got my sim changed last week but still nothing helped. I was on peak anger when Vodafone was down on Wednesday and Thursday. I was not even able to make proper call. And people even texted that my number was not reachable. if by luck call get connected then it will drop in middle or the person on the call will get shattered noise.

And WhatsApp text message used to take time to get send so you can image what was the state.

Also I was not able to call customer care to register complaint since call used to get drop suddenly.

Now also the network is very un stable and suddenly no service or gets to 2G.

the tower guy works for tower maintenance company which have taken contract from Vodafone idea for my region, so he was not from competitor.
He told that Vodafone has directed them to close some cell tower antennas in the direction from tower where the user load was less. So by my luck I was getting 100+ mbps in mornings and 50+ in peak hours (before closing sites) since my direction from tower had less users so they shutdown that site.

Also before this was getting -80 dBm signal but now I get -110 dBm since I get signal from other side antenna.

Also I can confirm about village station since I used to get signal till march when I visited but last week when I went now I get no service, only BSNL is only which get signal there.

the only issue Airtel got is that I get -100 dBm which is weak as compared to Vodafone which I get ealier but its enough to make proper calls and also they got WiFi calling which works good.
