Just want to know the speed, network stability and network range between the two routers they are providing to the customers.
And if I opt for Gold plan, will they switch this single band router to dual band without any cost?
Please guide.

Speed wise 5Ghz>2.4Ghz
Coverage wise 2.4Ghz>5Ghz
Congestion wise 5Ghz>2.4Ghz

It’s always better to get a dual band router, preferably one that has gigabit LAN ports.

As per your note, the dual band router will have more network drops than single and have less coverage area. Right?
If that so, single will be more advantageous

They do replace it for free, but the modem's range is just shit bro. I would suggest you to buy a router and use it in access point mode.

Dual band routers broadcast both 2.4Ghz AND 5Ghz signals.

And yeah, most ISP provided routers perform like total horse crap,

Single band 2.4Ghz max speed you will get is 60mbps

5Ghz Depends 600mbps and above.

Only draw back for 5Ghz is distance coverage. If you are living in duplex or large sf area. You have to use mesh.

If you have single band modem ask for dual band.
or buy
TP-Link Archer C6
Which is enough for 500mbps plan.
If your are using 1GBps plan. Go for higher end models. Costs 10-15k

I am on the lookout for a high range 2.4 Ghz router as stay in 1200 sq ft apartment with multiple walls. And so 5 Ghz won't work but need a good 2.4 Ghz router.

My search brought me to Archer C80 whose specs 600 mbps @ 2.4 Ghz and 1300 Mbps @ 5 Ghz looks promising.

But your experience says it's not worth. So are you trying any other router?
