JIO WiFi Calling not working with my broadband

Hi,

I am using Samsung Galaxy S10+ with Jio & Airtel SIMs. WiFi Calling gets enabled for both my SIM everywhere except when connected to my home broadband.
At my home broadband, which is Airtel broadband franchise, Airtel WiFi calling works but Jio WiFi calling does not work.
During my experiment, I connected my laptop with WiFi and created a hotspot and connected my mobile with that network. This time both SIMs enabled with WiFi calling.

Any suggestions.

google's private dns server is iirc dns.google.

Hi, I changed dns settings in my router, but that didn't help either.

Set the DNS to 49.45.0.84
This Jio's DNS server. this is the only thing that worked for me. FusionNet broadband & D-Link router, . tried, 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 1.1.1.1 None worked. These DNS servers are located outside India, and hence may be resolving to adddresses which Jio considers in International roaming. Whereas SIM reports Local
When you are actually in International roaming, all DNS works, SIM also detects international roaming and you are billed acoordingly aswell.

Use 49.45.0.84. This is Jio's DNS server. will always work

@tani facing exactly the same issue after switching my broadband connection. I'm usingSamsung M31 and best part is @jio says this phone isn't supported for vowifi.

Were u able to resolve the issue. Let me know how to fix this problem.

@Digirobo This is not true, I have a Samsung Galaxy M31 with a jio sim & with jio fiber vowifi works.

Im using samsung Note 10 and facing the same issue.. unable to connect volte over wifi.. tried all provided dns entries but none helped. Kindly suggest as my regular airtel signals are way pooor on ground floor.

The problem with jio is you need to be in place where jio network is available and you are connected to wifi then only wifi calling gets enabled. Or if you can move out of jio network and within few minutes come within range of your wifi it will connect. airtel connect to vowifi without need to be in its network but you cant receive sms
