So, I have a Redmi Note 4 and a Vodafone prepaid sim. If this issue is related to the phone or the Vodafone network, I really don't know.

If I put my sim card in a different phone, like Samsung it shows VOLTE, but it doesn't on Note 4. I have tried changing the region from India to Bangladesh, and vice versa. didn't help. If I put a different Vodafone sim in this phone, it shows VOLTE.

Installed this app and it shows this:

What to do?

After answering the same questions over and over again (4 times), Twitter team seems to have escalated the issue and finally it is working now.

have you enabled data roaming?

I got this number 2 years old, and it's a recycled number. I got it from a person who sells 'special' numbers.

I think SIM replacement may work. I am not a postpaid RED customer, otherwise they'd provide an at home replacement. 🙄

Sushubh is right. I ported from Vodafone (VoLTE) to Airtel and VoLTE wasn't working anymore. Had to replace my sim to get it working again.

This is exactly what I am currently facing with Airtel. On the 4G hotspot, the SIM card works as LTE. Put that SIM in an Android handset, LTE available. But, that SIM shows only 2G on the iPhone. Get a replacement SIM or contact Vodafone on Twitter, they are usually quick to resolve issues raised in a DM on Twitter. You may also email the customer care. If you prefer not to wait, easiest option is to get a SIM replacement.

Vodafone Postpaid customers get at-home replacements? 😳

@popcorn

Called and there was no option to speak to a rep.

After waiting and trying each option. It gave me the option to speak to a rep on its own. The rep heard the question, and put the call on mute and vent on maun vrat. All this took 20 minutes.

That's basics for you.

I had a similar problem pertaining to activating volte. I DM them on twitter and got a call from vodacare. After 3-4 days volte was activated.

Let it be the other way, DM them. They will get back to you. Although, there is a possibility that changing sim card may work but that would be after exhaustion of this forementioned option.

I tried getting VoLTE activated on my Vodafone SIM for months. Gave up finally.

Tried everything from Tweeting to contacting my accounts manager (corporate connection). Nothing helped.
