I got jio fiber installed at my home yesterday. While trying to fiddle around with the router, I thought of analysing the router configuration backup file for possible useful information, the file is usually in plaintext format, there is a popup while trying to do so as well saying that "the file might contain sensitive information in plaintext format", but the reptiles at jio managed to encrypt the configuration file, it has a .enc extension and opening it in notepad ++ reveals that is certainly is encrypted. So now the question is, is there a possible way to identify the kind of encryption used and then try to brute force in it while searching for known decrypted values.
