Mercedes-Benz India News & Updates

Dunno. Tesla is an exception in USA. Though they do not have dealers from what I have read. Company run all their showrooms. For most other manufacturers, car dealers usually have all control over sale of vehicles. They decide the pricing.

My guess was based on how the car purchase happens on a dealer's website. I tried one or two sites and the sheer number of accessories and the car options - not sure if dealers were managing it or the company itself. And this was not Tesla.

from what i have read on reddit... auto dealers have a lot of say in the final pricing of the vehicle.

have read about this a lot. more recently on the just announced ford electric truck.

customization options do exist but not sure how these vehicles are eventually delivered. maybe you have to be lucky to have a company owned outlet in your area. but dealers are supposedly very powerful in usa. and when tesla launched their direct sale to customer model, it become quite controversial with several states trying to block them from doing so because auto dealership cartel is so powerful there.
