Ramdev joins politics, claims to 'cleanse' system
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev marked his entry into politics on Tuesday in New Delhi by launching his own political party, which he claimed would cleanse the political system.
\"Next Lok Sabha elections will have candidates from Bharat Swabhimaan contesting elections in all 545 Lok Sabha seats,\" said Baba Ramdev in New Delhi.
Ramdev said he planned to enroll 7 to 10 lakh members in every parliamentary constituency of the country. The members would act as a corrective force and decide who was elected to Parliament from that particular constituency.
However, the yoga guru said that he would not contest elections or accept any political post.
He also added that India would become a superpower soon if black money stashed away by Indians in foreign bank accounts was brought back.

He also slammed Mayawati for accepting the multi-crore garland during a Bahujan Samaj party rally in Lucknow on Tuesday.
People like Mayawati are always worried. The country’s wealth should be used for betterment of Dalits and poor, and should not to be used as garlands to decorate the neck,” he said.

So how far can he go in Politics?
I thought BJP was natural choice for him to join Politics.

He has a habit of being in some or the other controversy always.

would be cool if he is serious about it. it does not matter what his intentions are. even if he is in to make big bucks. but if he can bring about ANY positive change...it would be good. 😀

I think people like him (and other babbas and behanji's) just Blind others (MY personal Opinion) in the name of Religion and Faith and cast and creed. That can only do bad for our country.

Well, if u say person's face and the way person talks gives good idea abt his intentions. then i wud say that i find him good nature person.but then he must really be careful when entering politics. because now-a-days everything is fair in love, war and politics!first bad politicians will try to drag him down by trying to create corrupted image of his, involving his name in scandals etc. if that doesnt work they might try alternate way.

Still, not a decent way to deal a strike. Numerous women and children were left astray as they were driven out of the comfort and safety of the ground.

That's the version of the Baba's side. The other argument is that the crowd attacked the police pelting stones, throwing chairs and other stuff.

May be a few people. But I am sure there were many innocent among that huge crowd. Also the action was unnecessary. That was peaceful protest going on there na.

In an interview Karnataka Lokayukta Santhosh Hegde was said, if situation continues like this Govt of India might impose emergency.!

Emergency is not a time pass thing that can be invoked just like that. There has to be a strong reason. What really has gone wrong with the country that it needs an emergency?
