Plz can somebody tell me whether the ip address given for TCP/IP matters.I have given it has 192.168.1.34.Does this is the prob for not downloading exe files. Can somebody tell me the answer.
This is the IP address between yout PC and modem cum router you have. BSNL doesnot have static IP. So every time you connect, they assign anopther IP address to your connection. This is the IP address that is visible to the internet world outside. So I guess your PC IP address should not have any impact with your downloads.
Well, i had never given any ip to my machine.
i think it doesnt matters ...
but yes i m not able to open http://192.168.1.1 thats it...and thats not needed by me.

I gave 192.168.0.1 had no probs downloading. But frequently last two days i started getting IP conflict. The CC told me to remove it and I did and the problem has gone.
Refer to Modem manual. Which model of Modem do u actually using? Or try to find a round hole in ADSL modem and press one time with a soft tip. After 2 minutes switch on your modem.
