Hi, I am from Rewari, Haryana. Railwire has recently started services in my area. They are taking 2500 for installation and router. I talked to the person-incharge here and he gave me the option to buy my own router and just pay 500 to install the connection. Is that a better option? If yes, can you please suggest some onu ont routers, preferably with 5ghz wifi.

the connection being provided is FTTH. Also, the person in-charge told that I would have to buy ONU as well as ONT, can someone explain whats the difference?

Thanks in advance.

If they are providing both ONU and Wifi router, then you should pay 2500 and get it. I had purchased a dual band router and it costed me some 3k and 2500 for installation including ONU( The ONU which they provided didn't have a wifi router)

Here,Railwire provide ONT without wifi as of now. Is that possible to make my Railwire fibre connection wifi . I have Netgear N150 wireless router, Binatone DT850W Wireless N ADSL2 ROUTER and TP-Link TL-MR3040 Portable Router
Can anyone of this be used to make that wifi. Suggestions welcome . Thanks.

This is the ZyXEL NBG-418N v2

@kasthuri The LCO should be doing it but if you want to do it yourself, then you need to plug the Ethernet cable from the ONT to the WAN port in your router. Next, you need to choose the connection as PPPoE and provide the ID and password which is provided by Railwire.

Thanks wandereR.
In case if there is any guide to " go thro this step by step condiguration" kindly share .
" Better to understand the basics to wifi setup " as It seems LCO person is not that much knowing these.
