Hi,
Earlier I created a thread describing how my Reliance 4G connection is not capable for streaming.
In this thread I just want to know the monthly cost of a descent broadband connection so that it
becomes easier for me to decide.

Q1) Which broadband connection are you using to stream Amazon Prime, Netflix & likewise ?
Q2)What is the monthly cost ?
Q3) Is there a "local cable wala" involved or do you deal directly with your ISP ?

@netuser123
1. MTNL triband on ADSL.
2. Ru 600(total comes to 703 with taxes)
3. Deal directly with ISP.

Some ISP(Internet Service Provider) have different pricing for different regions and the quality of their services differ from region to region. For most of the people Excitel may be bad due to to poor services of the LCO but for me it is great. My advice would be check for ISPs which are available in your area and their feedback from your neighbors because if I suggest you Airtel Xstream Fiber and if it isn't available at your location. What's the point of suggesting.

1. Airtel XStream broadband
2. Almost Rs1300/ month
3. No. Connection is directly from Airtel.

1. Jio Fiber
2. Rs 1006.37 per month (incl GST)
3. Directly with ISP

1. BSNL FTTH (Bharat Fiber) for Amazon prime video - got the connection 1.5 years ago
2. Plan 1277 - 100 mbps with 750 GB FUP (I never cross 200gb per month)
3. Yes there is a local cable operator wala (LCO) vendor who installed the connection

1. I use Alliance Broadband here in Kolkata
2. Monthly charges is 767 including GST. Speed is 85Mbps down/up truly unlimited.
3. Yes it is LCO based. LCO gives and manages the connection. And for most problems the LCO handles and for further problems if your LCO is not co-operative you can also complain to ISP directly.

1) Mangalore - Airtel VFiber VDSL - direct airtel - 30Mbps (3333 + 30 Gb FUP) - 499 + 18% GST
2) Mangalore - PAT FTTH - local ISP - 75Mbps symmetrical (200 Gb FUP) - 599 + 18% GST
3) Mumbai - Smartlink Broadband - local ISP - 30 Mbps down - 60 Mbps up (unlimited no FUP) - 600 (incl. 18% GST)
