I have heard 2 different opinions from people.
Few say (which I also agree) to buy costlier TVs from renowned brands like Sony, Samsung, LG.
While others say that buy TVs which are cheaper (Like Vu, Mi, etc), use for few years and throw away (if not able to resale). Cheaper TV screen anyways have less life of 2-3 years as per them, so they can purchase new TV again after few years.

True. I would say wait to see 3-4 years of they are serious in the segment. Like Vu has been around for some time, so in that aspect might be a better bet than a brand that just launches.

Like I just saw Zebronics launching laptops. Might still be better of with other Chinese brands than them.

In mobile, i would say the same about lava or Micromax who keep making comebacks but don't give me enough confidence to buy

My experience with TCL tv is positive till date. Using for 5 yrs now. In fact I feel it's picture production with tsky stb is better than LG one.

TCL have been in the market for some time. So yeah, they too can be a brand that you can think might stay.

There are no guarantees as see from htc, LG mobile and how Nokia has gone. But brand Le (anyone remember them) etc, it might be better off till they have spent atleast 3-4 years and brands which are experimenting in other segments for 3-4 years.

They were never serious about these so it makes sense.

Their sub-brand Dizo has also more or less disappeared.
