So I don't want to visit our local Barbour for next 1-2 years due to this crisis and need a trimmer+shaver to look decent ASAP😂. Which one do you folks recommend?.

What are the parameters should I be looking at while buying a trimmer+shaver?. Anyone have prior experience with Beard, Body & Head Trimmer ?.

If the experience turns good, I might stop visiting Barbour forever!.

i do have option to create custom links with extra parameters which can logically be used to detect specific purchases made through this particular link.

Actually its more like a pre-order because it allows you to buy but shows this - "In stock on June 4, 2020"

which means item is not yet available to you can pre-book it.

I went through all posts in this thread. Especially, @Nishant's and some of @socrates

I would like to know what settings should I keep it on?

I dont want army cut. (where you almost look bald)

But I want decent cut. Not so long and not so short. Bit less than medium.

And I dont want to make a mistake in setting and end up bald or ultra short hair.

Also what are those combs for?? Are they to be attached to trimmer or they are just for hair adjustment? I thought this thing is automatic.. you set a number and it will trim the hair as per the setting (without needing comb)

What I follow is start with the biggest and then switch to the smaller one till you get the size you want.

Tons of YouTube videos available. Watch some and you'll get some idea on how to start.

I kept the taper lever at the minimum (lever pointing towards the top edge of the machine), then fitted the combs which give the reqd length of hair on your head. In the videos I saw it was suggested to go in for higher number comb attachment. So I started with 6 (totally unnecessary) then went down to 5 (too long) then to 4. This was for the sides & back of the head. The top part of the head I used a scissors in one hand & hair grasped in the fingers of the other hand to cut the hair. Basically I have v little hair on the top of my head. Hence the term balding hippie in other posts.
