Hi! I want to buy a smartphone for my mother. The one she's using right now is Mi Note 4 (for more than 2 years now). She doesn't have any issues with it as such, but recently she has realized the importance of 'camera', because of Zoom meetings and video calls. Mi has screwed up the operating system over time, so I would really avoid buying an Mi phone. Usage is quite limited to games such as Angry Birds and YouTube.

No option to say disagree, can't dismiss the notification either.

This is what I dislike about custom Android skins. Shoving unnecessary services down our throat with no clear mention what those services do in the background. Worst part you cannot even disable it.
This is also happening with my Realme XT.

1. Display is the best thing about this phone.
2. Battery life is quite good too. It lasts for about a day and a half for my mother if she doesn't charge it in between.
3. Camera is alright for the price. Much better than the previous models that are priced around the same range.
4. Get a good case for the phone, the cheap cases will leave permanent marks.

POCO X3 is working great for me.

Disabling Ads is easy, just a little annoying as it is nested within setting of multiple apps.[15 minutes setup]

For those who want to go one step further :Mi Ads services + Facebook Ad services is pretty easy to do without any risk(Just connect the phone to PC , load the app and click uninstall)

Camera is pretty good if you want to avoid it doing makeup to your face or capture exact textures or lighting without too much caking the scene, Gcam is available.
[Warning : Don't use Gcam if you are not 8/10 and above in looks, it holds no bar in showing the truth]

Speaker if you play it too loud you can feel little vibrations , altho' it didn't annoy me, if it does to you upgrade to latest MIUI which just disables that speaker ...that's not for me...
+point is speakers are very clear when loud, no voice shrilling,etc..

MIUI Black mode support is very good, lots of apps when setting it to dark mode turns so black it feels like I'm using AMOLED

Yes, it's a it on the heavier side, but with time you will get used to it.
It's a two hand phone if you have average sized palm.
But its definitely does not weigh like a dumbell as shown in one of the videos.

Does the phone become more bulkier after applying the back case? A lot of reviewers has said about the weight issue and becomes bit problematic if you are watching videos.
Does the phone feel very thick? It's even thicker than m51.
