Thanks @arunkadambanattu for the confirmation. Yep, it appears to have come back online at 2:55 AM for me. I was a bit worried if it was some cable cut or some LCO specific issue, which might have taken longer to fix.

So it looks like some maintenance or a city wide outage.

Why Bsnl Kerala region not starting circle specific above 100Mbps plans? Chennai and Hyderabad circles always getting good plans. Bsnl Kerala's network strength not bad I think.

Lack of good competition I think.jio fiber is in its initial stages and airtel also starts expanding now only, and the rest of private isps have only 200 mbps plans . Also the high end use cases are very low here most of them are peering users. Still I would like to see my plan getting upgraded to 100mbps .It would be a nice change.

Well my ppoe status is down from the early morning itself ,when I logged on it was there but all of sudden the ppoe link is down and after many reboots and all it's still not coming ,don't know what's the issue.

@philip Interesting, I had the same issue Saturday night, luckily it got resolved automatically in about 4 hours.

Perhaps there is an issue at your local exchange. Try reaching out to the LCO and local exchange. A year back had faced a 1+ day outage due to some equipment failure at BSNL.

Anyone facing intermittent connectivity issues on BSNL FTTH recently?

By "connectivity issues" I mean link is up, connection is "stable" but pings time out and websites dont open for short intervals then it works again for some time and then again the issue comes up in between?

It's as if that earlier botnet attack issue has returned.

I am in Pune.

Yeah i guess it s the same issue u have faced. mine is up now , everything is good now except for the speed capping.By the way did they respond to your email about the speed capping

@varkey Most probably it will not be in their hands , their banglore noc is doing their speed capping ,they may not have the capacity enough , the speeds burst through 80 mbps and then they are capping it to 43 mbps constant.
