Mutual Funds

Franklin templeton has made full and final payment for the ultra short bond fund. Not sure about other schemes may be for that too.

Post this payout, FIUBF would have paid 108.50% of its AUM as on 23 April 2020.

Looks like they want to increase bank deposits at any cost.

Long term (10+ years) they always do. At least based on financial market performance from the past few decades. Obviously if you start investing at the peak of the market value, it will take time to see returns.

Some of my lump sump investments mainly done is ELSS about 10yrs ago are still showing 13-14 XIRR today but its complete luck, my invested money became half too during covid crash.

Even if do SIP for long time most money is made if a big crash happens then a bull run. For 4-5 years your SIP returns will be less tha FD, even negative sometimes.

'SIP sahi hai' seems another gimmick like 'compounding' in MF. Power of compounding is so heavily marketed by MFs even many agents don't know compounding in MF is not possible.

SIP is more beneficial for fund managers, distributors their cashflow and profit keeps on increasing as expense ratio is fixed.

You can pick any point of time historically and calculate MF returns after the next 12-15 years. It will always show a decent return irrespective of when the period is, how is that luck?

Yeah .. in need of some app which provides useful info like how many units are eligible for LTCG and STCG
