Hi,
Facing a Strange problem So I request you to please read patiently.
I am using Sony BRAVIA TV MODEL KDL-43W800F. It is having Android version 8.0.0 and android security patch level 1 May 2019.
I am using BSNL broadband with a Huawei modem, model HG532d.
I am facing a strange problem. When connected to WiFi of modem( BSNL) , I am unable to open many apps like Hotstar, ZEE 5, GOOGLE PLAY STORE and I cannot open internet browser as well which says “DNS address could not be found”
Also, a lot of time a message pops out “WiFi Connected but no internet”.
Strangely, NETFLIX works fine.
NETFLIX is an inbuilt app in TV , whereas I have downloaded HOTSTAR and ZEE 5 from play store.
But when the TV is connected to WiFi of my iPhone ( JIO NETWORK) through HOTSPOT, everything works fine.
I tried TV to static IP and DNS setting to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and network prefix length as 24.
Still doesn’t work
My modem (ISP is BSNL) is configured as PPoE setting.
I also have one doubt that my smart TV has only STATIC and DHCP setting but my modem is configured to PPoE. Is it preventing my TV to connect to internet or play store. I also tried to configure my modem to DHCP but I am unable to login.
I also tried hard resetting the modem lot of times but the problem still persists.
Please suggest some solution
Thank you

Brother, i am facing same problem.
Did you find any solution?

Don't leave it on auto, disable it. Set the time and timezone manually, down to the correct minute it's shown on your phone.

Only for checking purpose.

1. Change security mode of WiFi to None in Router.
2. Delete and reconnect to router(this time without entering password).

In my opinion , switching on the WPS , connecting it to the TV and then closing it would also be an option
