I have this rather peculiar problem of getting better speed on Wi-Fi than on LAN with my Airtel FTTH connection.
This problem mainly happens with international servers, tried many devices, many configurations but same result
Sometimes even Google stops loading through lan even though it works fine if I connect to Wi-Fi of ONT
Not a problem of my setup as many indian servers give full speed (300 Mbps) on LAN

TLDR - the internet works flawlessly using ONT Wi-Fi but as soon as I use LAN, it starts acting weird.

I think it may be something with how Speedtest smartphone app does the measurement. I usually see better international speeds on Android app compared to the website.

Not sure though, since you are also facing with slow page loading. Did you try a different browser?

Not just slow speed, google and some websites stops loading at all on lan

Tried many browsers, many devices, many setup
One more weird thing, sometimes the speed gets throttles to exact 47 Mbps when connected to lan (phone is connected to another router which is connected to airted ont and yes i have tried different routers)

Wi-Fi of ONT gives full speed at that time)

I am getting this problem from day 1 of connection installation
that speed throttle on lan is definitely not natural
and whenever I complain to airtel, the airtel guy always asks me why is my modem turned off because it is shows that my connection is not on from their side even though it is always on

bro i have the same problem. i get full speeds on my mobile (international servers) almost half of that on LAN. Especially on US servers.
i'm also on Airtel FTTH.

The issue isn’t LAN or WiFi. The issue is Windows.

Connect an iPad or iPad Pro via an Ethernet adapter to your router via LAN. You’ll get full speed. However, the issue is with Windows via LAN and only to SpeedTest.net for International servers. Try downloading something from real websites like Apple servers, you won’t have any issue.

Are you comparing your phone‘s WiFi to your PC’s LAN?

I already said that I have tried many devices including Android, iOS, and linux
I don't have problem with low speed on speedtest.net but Google doesn't work for good amount of time
I tried using a USB 3.2 gen 2 to gigabit Ethernet adapter as well

Same problem happens if i connect my phone using wifi of my router connected to ONT using LAN
tried bridge mode, tried cloudfare's and google's dns, same result

Hi @Rehan Kumar , paraphrasing my understanding... Download speed is full when phone is connected to ont's WiFi, but lower when phone is connected to the router wifi. Secondly, LAN speed tested is also via the router. Is that accurate?

If so could you check your router specs like WiFi 5 and gigabit ethernet port?
