Hi,

I have my newly installed BSNL ftth with dbc router for my home , which is working fine as of now with internet connection and speed.
but I am not able to access my router remotely or access from other ISP network.

before I have tried to access my home router thru DDNS server but my bsnl router has two predefined DDNS servers are paid one and
also I am not able to add free DDNS server. so concluded to get static ip and access my router remotely and i am not sure
this could be router fault or any router settings issue.

I have enabled remote access from below router page. still I am not able to access my router remotely.
even enable those ports with ticks, router doesn't save the settings. once i reboot my router the ticks are gone.

I am not sure am doing the right way.

Kindly guide me how to proceed further.
Thanks

these chinese oem onts are shit n very much vulnerable n unprotected.. major speed issue, packet loss, ddos attack on local nib has been found due to these chinese shits.. please untick those wan boxes to be safe.. after repeatedly strict orders bsnl/bharat fiber team from noc specially raised a circular in franchise portal n also informed these oem brands to upgrade the firmware to latest as per given measures.. alway beware from these chinese oem.. only safe if u use it in bridge mode ..

Thank for the prompt reply
I agree with you regarding 7 star being CGNAT and i may not be having a static IP.

"You need to enable 'QuickConnect relay service'"
how do i do this ??
where ?? On the NAS ?

Also , will something like no ip.com help ??

HI ,
I called my 7 star ISP and got a static ip connection.
Now how do i go about setting up the NAS so i can access is it from the internet

Its 2023, did you got any solution? I have been trying to do the same from long time, and I came to understand that you will not be able to access your own devices over basic broadband connection. ISP won't give that facility or allow that, unless you have dedicated business internet connection

TLDR;. You can access you home devices over any broadband connection irrespective of business or consumer, just have to us site-to-site VPN

@ankur2411 i was reading the full thread and was really shocked that people do not understand the security risk of exposing the ports on their router to whole internet, but since you are asking about the same i would anyday recommend using any site to site vpn ( selfhosted or tailscale or zerotier) than directly exposing the ports. It you need more explanation please make a new detailed post, so that we can answer it there instead of necroposting here

Go to Security->Firewall. Set Firewall level from "High" to "Low" and click Apply. Now try navigating to Security->Port Filter. Select the boxes you wish to enable access and click Apply. Now the check box remains saved as you wished.
