piss poor international speed

since yesterday i am getting very shitty speed to international servers. i noticed that even fast.com is not loading up. netflix is slower than the snail.
it is happening only in the night. like after 9.30 P.M
can you guys post your speed test results as well? only those who are on copper infrastructure and not ftth

9:30PM is also around the time Tripleplay slows down for me. Usually slowing down to 30-50Mbps to international servers without VPN.


I would suggest trying out Cloudflare WARP. Cloudflare is peered with Extreme IX Mumbai now, I installed it on my friend's PC whose ISP is also Excitel (ethernet) and he told me it resulted in much better page load times and downloads (especially on some sites like Github).

I m using a 100 mbps ftth connection from LCO
now, LCO is not even giving 1 mbps .
They used to give 40 mbps speed previously(since my wifi roter is D-Link n300 and wont give 100 mbps as per lco)

I m noob in this arena....someone please help me out...

Is this due to congestion or throttling ?

As per hurricane IP4 route propagation .......peering is done from CtrlS datacentre which inturn is peered to tata communications & airtel ...

i feel like my LCO is cheating . I could not go for a alternate network at this point of time ....

I could not stream anything between 12 pm and 6 pm ...In the remaining period I could stream with lower quality

you already have wireguard access on pia. that does not help?

nope. pia helps in reducing pings but speeds are still piss poor.

1. Download both the files, cf-warp and wireguard



2. Open cmd and cd to the path where you have downloaded the files in my case C:/Users/Temp/Downloads
3. Run the exe file with "cf-warp-win.exe" . It should output something same as in the screenshot below:

4. Don't close cmd just yet, we need the .cf-warp path to import it into wireguard
5. Install wireguard
6. Once installed, the GUI should look like this:

7. Click on "Import tunnel(s) from file"
8. Go the path we got on the cmd in step 3 ,click on "cf-warp.conf" file. Now the .conf file is imported to wireguard

9. Wireguard GUI should look like this:


10. Click on Activate button

11. Check your IP by searching for "My IP" on Google.com . CloudFlare rewrites your IP Address on the websites which uses CloudFlare DDoS Protection/Reverse proxy. So sites like IPChicken and whatismyipaddress.com will show your actual IP. Make sure to search on Google as Google doesn't use CloudFlare.

strange to see packet loss even on warp; not sure whats going on with Excitel router you are on 😛 .
