Google the model number and take a look at the spec sheet. It should mention Interface speeds (LAN and WAN). 10/100 is 100mbps (megabit) and 10/100/1000 is 1000mbps (gigabit) [Basically the largest number should be >= 1000].

In the budget category, I'd suggest Archer C6.
For prosumer/enthusiast category, there's Mikrotik and Ubiquiti.

Or if all this gets confusing
Just make a post here!

How do i know if the next router im going to buy will have speeds higher than 100mbps LAN?
Look for Gigabit Router
In description they will mention.

So this router can give the speed the jio fiber is giving both 5ghz wirelessly for my phone and wired for my pc right?

@Nitin
I suggest you to use it as a repeater on alternate channels.
If you have TX power option on Jiofiber ONT,(i have seen it on jiofi so i guess it should be available in ont too)set it to low and set specific channels so that interference in minimum.
I think you will be able to enjoy the speed you pay for....
Just a suggestion.
Please note,depending in your area,this idea can turn from very good to worse suddenly as congestion increases.

repeater gives 40% speed only.

Connect directly to jio modem.

I have single band jio modem. After connecting to c6, getting full speed in 5ghz .
I disabled 2ghz wifi signal in jio modem .

@bobby_kes
Sorry,but I was talking about his c50.
I am really sorry i could not be very clear.
I was trying to convey that if he use it as a repeater by disabling 2.4 GHz,he may be able to get better speeds despite not using lan cable.
It may or may not work depending on the interference.
@glenn
Can you please try this for once?

Disabled 2.4ghz and used the 5ghz and speeds are still below 100mbps. Btw can someone tell me how i can use my c50 as a extender for my c60?

@glenn
1. Do you have a c60?
2.I was asking to use 5ghz wifi of jiofiber ont and use the c50 as a repeater.I guess you used lan cable.Sorry,but if you use c50 as an extender you may get better speeds.
3. Please be clear on this.I want to say that if you disbale 2.4 Ghz band on jiofiber and use 5 Ghz at very low Tx power,you can use the C50 as an repeater repeating the signal of Jiofiber ONT albeit you will have high transmission power of C50 compared to Jiofiber ONT.So,you will be able to use c50 to get apeed above 100 mbps.

1. Yes i do have c60
2. I did disable 2.4ghz on jio fiber. And the speed is still what i paid for. 250mbps.
3. jio fiber sits in my hall filling it with 5ghz wifi for everyone, and for people further to the room has a 15 meter long ethernet cable connected to a c60 for 5ghz connection. But theres other rooms thats not getting enough signal, so i was asking if i can use my older c50 as a extender for the other rooms by using the c60's signal. Kinda like mesh. Without any wires(ethernet cable) hanging around from c60 to c50.

i have archer c5 ac1200 router and i want to use usb device to share files within LAN so i connected my usb to my router and i cant copy any files to that usb device also i cant delete any files which are already in usb and also when i open any video files it starts downloading to my pc it wont stream ...... i mean this is how it works? we have to download video files inorder to watch ?? can anyone explain this to me is it possible to stream videos from router usb without downloading i heard Netgear readyshare feature which allows us to stream video , music files within a network.. is there any feature like that for TP-Link routers?..... and also how to delete , copy files to usb ??

So i connected my jio fiber via ethernet on my laptop and 5ghz wifi on my iPhone. Both gets VERY close to 250mbps. Its all good. But when i use my TP-Link (which is connected via ethernet cat6 from jio to tp link) and its limited to 100mbps when i connect it to my laptop both wired and wireless. How can i fix this? This has something to do with the router. (all the ethernet cables are cat6 btw). Please help
You need to upgrade your tp link router. Buy a router which has gigabit ports. Non gigabit routers are limited to 100mbps. By the way which router are you using?
