wifi speed issue

I had installed Bharat fiber at my house few days ago. I have 777 RS plan which provides 50mbps speed. When I am using internet on my computer which is connected TO ONU by Ethernet cable, it gives 50mbps but I get 15-20 mbps when I connect my mobile or PS4 with wifi. I am using Syrotech G/EPON-ONU my friends have same plan but they have same 50mbps speed in wifi same SYROTECH G/EPON-ONU please solve my problem.

@irfanyousuf42 You need to put the ONU in bridge mode and use your own decent high-quality Wi-Fi router to get good Wi-Fi speeds. If you're low on a budget buy the TP-Link Archer C6.

Hey, My plan is also same and getting same speed as you and I contacted BSNL they told me that it is due to increased number of users and will be solved after lockdown! Others are also facing same problem - BSNL is throttling my internet speeds to 20mbps | BSNL FTTH Bharat Fiber Broadband

Contact LCO. I had same issue, he replaced ONT/Router and it was solved

get your ONU replaced or update its firmware. i also having issues with wifi so i connected my iball dual band router by placing ONU in bridge mode now i am getting 80-90mbps speed on 777 50mbps plan.

@irfanyousuf42 I was facing same issue of getting speed on most devices connected via wifi as 15to 25Mbps max on 50Mbps plan , while as when connected to LAN its 50-55Mbps . I assumed this is due to single band(2.4Ghz) router and everyone suggested to get dual band router . But i accidentally came across a PDF file on Syrotech website for security and did that and i started getting speeds in range of 45-55 Mbps on my Syrotech router on 50Mbps plan .While doing speedtest it even touches 80-90Mbs for few seconds so that means if i upgrade my plan to 100Mbps it will be supported also. Actual file is available on Syrotech website (top moving banner ). I think my issue was resolved when i changed Encryption type to WPA2-Mixed as shown in PDF. But you can try doing other settings as well as this is for security. Let's see if this solves your issue.
