I have Rs. 2499 plan which gives 40 GB per day @ 100 Mbps and FUP @ 4 Mbps.

Earlier today, I drained the data quota intentionally and viola! My FUP speed was capped at 0.40 Mbps for both upload and download.

Anyone else having similar issues or a solution?

If I told BSNL about this, they'd assume it's a "bandwidth problem".

Side Note: I can't change my PPPoE Password, it says "Exception: Creating Context" on the link: https://redirect2.bbportal.bsnl.co.in/

OT, but wouldn't be better if you take two connections with the 1277 plan, and switch the PPPoE creds on a daily basis (ofcourse could be scripted) to evenly balance the traffic, or maybe use one for 15 days and switch to the other after?

You can then avoid the daily cap, also get a combined high speed data usage of 1500 GB. Win win 😅 You'd pay just Rs 55+tax extra.

Both the ids would have the same mac ids bound right? Wherever there is mac binding, it binds to the first device which connects. I don't think there is any limitation around one Mac can be bound to just one id.

Also in @Dark_Nate's area they don't do mac binding if I recall correctly from the earlier comments.

Thing is, this is at my home, I'm the only tech-savvy member, plus I won't be here for long as I'm moving to Bangalore soon. If anything goes wrong, there's no one to fix it. Otherwise, I'd have done that already.

No MAC binding in Shillong as of now.
