Modi Ji said that if we do not take this drastic step, we would go back by 21 years. On one hand, he did admit that there was some significant progress in the 15 years he was not in power during these 21 years. On the other hand, I realized that life was not that bad 21 years ago. I was 17... Looking forward to turning 18. Everything was normal. There were no regular shocks every couple of months. In a few months I would get my own bike (Splendor) on the day I turned 18. Things were good tbh.

21 years ago the world was a different place, a better place if I may say so. Things we take for granted today for e.g. broadband, streaming audio or video didn't exist. Dial up modems of a max of 28.8 kbps were the fastest we could get and we used BSNL/MTNL lines to dial into ISP servers. Modems dropped carrier, we were billed at 1 local call every 3 minutes and locked the lines up for hours on end much to the chagrin of others in the home. PCs had 4-8 MB of RAM, Windows 95/98 3.x or Windows NT 3.x.

Sounds primitive by today's standard but heck we were happy with whatever we had.

@Realme succinctly speaking, it was the happiness that comes from living in a world that was simpler, with fewer prejudices and bigotry across the country and the world. But most importantly the +ve outlook that prevailed.

What I recall is evenings were spent well with friends a d family. Office fatigue and tension were left in office itself. No body to contact you after office untill some emergency and through landline.. there was a craving among people to meet each other and share thoughts and ordeal.

Hapiness quotient was way higher than now.

Currently I am locked in my room with two mobile handset, immediately put one to charge as battery drains and use another one in mean time . Parents are downstares. Wife is with her parents some 2000km away. Even without lockdown , my life isn't different apart from going out for movies with spouse but that's it. Once in awhile tries to call friends to meet but all are not interested or pretty hectic in professional life. Whatever time they get they want spend with spouses or kids ..

Frankly i do not like this life at all since I have seen both old and current Lifestyle. WE ARE GETTING ISOLATED mentally and physically

As a guy born in late 90's and grew up in early 2000's I feel a huge change in Lifestyle.
It's getting more and more hectic, if a 22 year old like me feel the heat of things changing then it must be very hard for you people who are in thier 30s and 40s.
P.S: My first Internet speed was 64kbps.
Now it's 150 Mbps.

Dear Diary@ 25th March 1999:

I have had great time haunting this big mansion in Lutyens Delhi, discovered a lot about me, I found that I am voracious of voyeurs and sadist who likes to see grammar in pain.
Hopefully I will be sooner given a skin to live-in, lets see if I can contribute back to society and enjoy being a Exhibitionist 🙂
