Grofers and others today... it is clear that he needs to give a special presentation to cops around the country rather than citizens. citizens would happily comply as long as his basic needs are met. i just came back from the market. long lines everywhere. people are buying whatever they can. that is the kind of terror this guy would be remembered for. television of course has reporters interviewing people who call this a 'good important step'.
i mean i get it... this was needed. no one is complaining about that. in fact, a lot of criticism of janata ban was about the shockingly small duration of it. it's clear that he was just looking for how compliant his fanbase is. and now that he knows, he can go ahead with this terrifying adventure.
i would be shocked if the country is prepared for this. if the supply chain is ready for it. if the cops are going to be reasonable with it. this is probably 1000 times worse as demonetization. sure, it would potentially save thousands of lives. but it would hurt the weakest section of the society. which had no fault in the spreading of this virus. once again, the rich would get away with it.
