even you set cloudflare dns within router settings it will still use default dns Jio has blocked almost every modification in its router bridged mode dns settings and a lot
It is very simple, first login to the Jio Centrum Home Gateway.
Then go to Networks, and then to LAN. and then for IPv4, configure the "LAN IPv4" settings and for IPv6, the "LAN IPv6".
What to change is that, go on DNS Servers below and from the drop-down list, select the "Use Below" and then adds up whatever DNS server you want (in case you suggested for CloudFlare) and then hit the save. Do same thing in IPv6 Configuration page too and you're good to go now. Your DNS Server has been changed.
And please restart the router and (if can the devices on that), it helps to flush the dns cache on the router and all the devices and after restart, your JioFiber connection will use Cloudflare's DNS servers.
But keep in mind, as you're unable to use the JioFiber Voice services after you changed the DNS servers (to whatever) cause JioFiber's Voice services use domain names that are not resolving correctly with the new DNS settings. To fix this issue, you can try changing the DNS settings back to their original values.
@CeresScriptrix both mate i own a jcow 414 lots of people have this issue one the dns settings are changed a router restart reverts every modified setting back to the normal one
Look brother, IPv4 DNS does not change, but yes I have seen that IPv6 DNS is changing. But I have a lot of acquaintances in Jio India, I am in contact with them and I am finding out why this is happening and whether any measures can be taken to prevent it.
