It won't work after the subscription ends. It will work, just make sure to recharge atleast with quarterly silver plan.

Is Hotstar working after the subscription end in silver plan?
Mine is working. I have a bronze plan.

My sim is also of Jio. I recharged 555 pack on Aug 13th and I got a valid hotstar pack till 12th sept automatically, even though I have not recharged using the hotstar offer.

my jiofiber Number is also the same. Maybe that’s why it’s working ?

Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding Annual plans. What happens if there's a service unavailability due to fibre cut or any other issue for, say more than 2-3 days ? Will they compensate easily for the lost days or will it be a long drawn fight ?

I am very keen on doing the annual recharge, but I have also apprehensions about their free data. For Silver annual plan, it says you will get 200 GB + 200 Gb due to lockdown + 200 Gb annual benefit (optional). So that means I will get only 600 GB/month, till they keep giving lockdown data ?

Is doing annual plan a good bet ?

Thanks for your advice.

i think weekly plan is much better deal than annual plans unless you want streaming subscriptions that they give with regular plans

I would recommend NOT going for any annual plan. I know the offer is attractive - double data and so on but in the current circumstances where companies change rules at the drop of a hat, anything can happen. In the near future, new technologies may arrive, competition may offer more features, etc, etc,,, Who knows, JIo services may deteriorate to such a extent that you may want to close your account but cannot do so just because you have a annual plan. If for some reason, you do extinguish all your data for a given month- you always have that 199 unlimited plan.
So keep that hard earned money in your wallet instead of giving it to companies....

Thanks you @icecool20 , well explained and very thoughtful.

@PawanKumar I need the ott apps.

I also had a discussion with @ap99 and concluded that thehalf yearly plans are still a good bet considering they give:

-all ott apps
- 400 gb data which includes lockdown data upfront. They may withdraw the offer but those who have availed long term plans will still get it.

thanks for all your Inputs , much appreciated.

@Dhiraj I recommend to get quarterly silver plan.
P.S. - Silver plan and 199 plan costs same. One should make choice depending upon their requirements, More Data or OTT Subscription.

Netflix will probably come in diamond and above

Understanding how Jio works, I would not be surprised if:
Netflix premium is given to Diamond, Platinum and Titanium plans.
Netflix standard is given to Gold plans.
I am on Gold plan, and for me only Netflix premium makes sense. (Ultra HD content) since I have a big screen 4k tv. This may hold true for other similar customers too...
We will know more about this, once Netflix comes to JIo.....
