BSNL FTTH, ACT Fibernet
I moved from BSNL Bharat Fiber to ACT Fibernet a day back. The ACT Internet is working very well for my Windows based devices such as Laptops and Desktop Computer. However, my Sony Smart TV shows as Connected but not able to access the Internet. The Smart TV is based on Android 7.0. I have tested with direct LAN Cable to TV and this also did not work.

I have tested with Mobile Phones and Android Phones based on Android 9 & 10 are working fine. Any device with Android 8.0 and below is not able to access the Internet via ACT. Has anyone faced similar issue? I have also raised a ticket with ACT but wanted to hear if anyone else is facing same issue. Any further guidance would be helpful.

I searched on Youtube and some videos recommended setting the Date & Time to Network Based Time. I have done the same and this approach also has not worked on any of the devices so far.

Note: If I switch back to BSNL, the Smart TV and other Android Devices work perfectly fine again. I tried accessing Internet from a Jio and Airtel Hotspots created via mobile and both these worked fine again. So the issue clearly seems to be something with ACT Fibernet

The rule out the most common cause (not saying it is in this case), try changing the DNS resolver on your router to Google DNS ie 8.8.8.8 and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for the response. We could not figure out the issue.
Finally the ACT Personnnel did a hard reset of the Router and did the Router configuration from scratch. This fixed the issue and everything is now working as expected.
