How is Hathway fibre in Bangalore? Was just curious and submitted the details on their site and today someone called me up. He shared the below details.

2 basic plans (3 months subscription mandatory)

1)749 +18%gst =883 ...883×3 moths =2652/- 100 mbps speed and monthly 1000 gb data

2)849+18%gst=1002...1002×3=3006/- 150 mbps speed monthly 1000 gb

Installation free and router free to use optical fibre connection

FOR MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION

1) Monthly u want means
799+18% =943
+
590 rs installation charges
End to to end optical fibre connection +router free to use total monthly package is 1532 per month
1000gb 100 mbps speed

Do you get a public IP address (IPv4 or IPv6)? Or is it CG NAT like Jio?

Varkey, the official Isp reviewer of IBF 🤣🤣.
Just confirmed with my friend, Hathway runs on jio backend and gives out public ipv4 address.

They give ipv4.
Their upload/download speed are not symetrical
Wifi router is free to use. Immediately after the expiry of the current plan, if you don't recharge, you will get calls on a daily basis with either offers or emails asking for you to return all the devices.
They provide static IP for 100+18% GST per month
No IPV6

Just got the 150 Mbps connection. Provided ZTE f660 GPON ONT modem+router which is supporting only a single band and is giving 50 Mbps speed. Have opened a ticket asking for dual band router. If it's not given, then either the 150mbps plan is a waste or the router commitment is wrong.

150Mbps plan in Bangalore is apparently unlimited now. Can anyone confirm?

I was on the 100 MBPS plan from Jan, where 800 GB was initially promised but I ended up getting 400 GB after the first 2 months. I am on their 150 mbps Fiber plan since May. The monthly limit was initially told to be 1000GB in April, which showed as 1400 GB in the app and is now revised to 1900 GB in the app. Since I have never breached 400 GB, this is of not much use for me. I paid 12k incl GST for the annual plan.

The speeds I get on seedtest, using the hathway server, D-Link dual band router on 5G is ~170-175 mbps download and 80-90 mbps upload. This has been consistent. There are occasional drops in speed while using Skype/ Zoom. But other than that, its fine for watching OTT channels on Amazon. In the past 1.5 years, I have faced downtime on a very few occassions. The longest one was for 13 hours starting at 7 pm upto 10 am the next day. But this was because they had given a new connection to my neighbour and had somehow messed up the connection from the common junction box.

Since Jio has taken over Hathway, I had heard JIO will replace Hathway connections with JIO fiber soon! Lets see.

You will need to purchase it. They charge 100+18% GST = 118/ month

No mention of this on the app. It only says unlimited. I guess since it's owned by Jio, the limit should be in the region of 3XXX TB

My experience with Hathway was very frustrating
1. Got my connection within a day but they gave me a single band router after billing me for dual band router.
2. Nobody cares including the local customer care & representative. Just blame it on the stock shortage and they keep procrastinating with one or the other reason.

Finally getting rid of this connection with Airtel
