Hello Community, new member here...pardon this long post as I got a lot to say on remarkable BSNL FTTH
I have this Multilink Revo ONU which looks exactly like the
Netlink both from outside and the interface. Got it's firmware upgrade done. But recently saw several ads being injected into the sites with http, one in form of a new window and another as these sliding messages appearing on the top right corner of the window, when ran the web inspector on firefox saw the source of these ads as
inpagepush.com and
netpatas.com, anyone else experiencing this ?
Before this whole malware attack thing there was a constant issue of very high pings and slow speeds with my ftth connection, which used to reach upto 1000ms at times, and it usually occurred at a fixed time of the day. On further probing through tracert, MTR one of the core NOC servers was found to be the culprit in this. And it took BSNL over 6months to address this. That too it was resolved by their IT cell and the core NOC after speaking with a lot many PGMs GMs CGMs, the guys in my district have not even bothered to contact me till now, despite a pending complaint on the
PGportal 😛, talk of customer service.
and when that got fixed a new issue popped up...😑
the latest issue is one of VOIP getting dropped from time to time, where the status shows as registering and the light goes off on the
ONT, then after sometime it comes back again, anyone else facing this issue ?
@varkey @pothi I tried using the ONT in bridge mode, but it doesn't seem to be working for me...I connected the ethernet cable from the port1 of ONT to the WAN port of the
router, fired up the PPPoE and went along, firstly the internet connection took a lot of time to get established initially and the internet light on my
TP-Link to turn on, but then it dropped after a while. Also, when I power off and power on the router it fails to establish the internet connection back on....any suggestions ?
I feel this whole FTTH service is very poorly managed by the BSNL as most of the time their pvt partners do not have a clue of what's going and the necessary authority to do anything...and as a result the blamegame keeps going on b/w the pvt partner and the JTO with customer at the suffering end.
As i say...as long as BSNL works, it works like a charm...but when it blows a fuse, that is when your worst nightmare starts!
