Last few weks there has been drastic drop in speed and connection , My local service guy told that there has been a massive server issues (?malware attack ?) and they have been issuing security patches .

So see to that you change the ADMIN password to more secure one and also check if you are on latest firmware : 1.0.24-200225

Set firewall to "HIGH" and also enable LOG to check if there is any unusual activity
 
Firmware depends on the model. Right? Or does BSNL have a fixed naming scheme for all the ONT supported by them?

Anyway, I just noticed that my Netlink ONT has been updated to aforementioned version. Do you use netlink ONT as well?
 
@partymonger which site is the firmware available and is it for all models?
 

I visited optilink website and they only list "BSNL approved" firmware for one model 71110N which is wifi with 2 ethernet and 1 phone port. Mine is the basic ONT with 1 ethernet port and no phone port and no wifi 92001Z model.
 
I submitted a query on the website for updated firmware and got this email reply with attached PDF. The PDF includes some default username/password combos for some OptiLink ONT models.

Dear Sir,
There is no update as per the ONU model you mentioned OP-EONU 92001z.
As per the BSNL security, we have prepared the configuration guide for 1G Data (SFU type) ONU which is OP-EONU 92001z.
Please find attached the document for your reference, and configure the ONU as per directed in the document.

Note: There are different Optilink 1GE data ONU model. The default username and password may vary.

Is it different from the
.16 firmware?
Someone please upload the latest firmware. Or atleast post a link. 😊🙏 Thankx in advance
