hi , i took airtel postpaid connection in october 2019 the staff in service center told me i can only port it after 6 months but today airtel social media support staff told me i can port after 3 months 😒. Can anyone confirm what the actual duration is for Airtel postpaid

It's not about postpaid or prepaid, the criteria for MNP is to be with the donor operator for 90 days and to have no outstanding dues.

yeah 3 months has been in place for a while now. plus based on recent developments...

In the revised MNP process, the Unique Porting Code (UPC) will be generated only when the subscriber is eligible to port-out his mobile number.

🙂 i knew that TRI rule but thought Airtel postpaid terms and conditions might have something different ,before same staff told my sister she had to hire airtel postpaid for atleast 4 months and then told me it has been recently changed to 6 months

The operator can still deny generating the UPC citing the below rule but if the UPC is generated, nobody can block the port out.

d) There are no pending contractual obligation(s) to be fulfilled by the subscriber as per the exit clause provided in the subscriber agreement.
