I have enabled 2SV on my gmail and other major sites and apps which needs it. A few days before i enabled it for my wordpress blog and following it , i flashed a new ROM. I totally forgot that i didnt disable 2SV in many sites , nor in my google account. I was very lucky that the cookies were still active in my browser. I was able to enter into my blog and reapply for 2SV + GA. Even though Google does provide you an alternate to send a code to your mobile phone , many sites / services doesnt have this option. But they do provide a printable "Table" (lastpass , google etc). So see to that you get those tables printed and hidden somewhere or placed in your wallet. IN case of my blog , there was no alternate to login , if i had erased the GA which was linked to it. Is there any alternate to recover the GA code ? or to get back the account ?

Delete you GM account? you mean what if you close your gm account associated with your blog. In that case you can't recover it. If you just kill the Gm sync to your blog, you can still recover it by loggin into your gm frm other devices like pc, lappy n revoke the blog n readding it n authenticating it with a new one time pass. Btw, flashing rom or changing mobile won't kill 2 way verfication. Because the verification is linked\associated to sim card. Not the imei of mobile ...

it is always a good idea to download and save the QR Codes used for connecting the accounts.

@DNA

What i meant is the GA association with blog , not the GM acc.

This plugin actually WordPress › Google Authenticator « WordPress Plugins

@chromaniac

Yes , I have already did it for lastpass and Google Acc, but others dont seem to provide such. But at one point i got scared of losing control of my blog.

This is the login page

I opened this thread to tell others to backup their QRcode or the TABLE and also to see if there are alternatives if there is no backup and GA is reset/erased .

what happens if you delete the plugin folder through FTP? 🙂

Hmm , actually it should work , i mean remove the authenticator process ,like any other plugin . Will try it on another host lying around.
