beh. india is such a large country, it would have been nicer if they could have a slightly more accurate headline at least.

Radius network is already available in or near 3 lakh homes and is live in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Indirapuram (Ghaziabad). The network will soon be available in Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai and Chandigarh

WUT? i have never even heard about them. i guess they are only catering to new private societies. no one wants to spend on creating an infrastructure in sectors where houses are scattered i guess.

Yes.. Thats the easy way, I guess. A lot of new private societies are being bundled with such "facilities".

"In the next 6-9 months, world class 1,000 Mbps or 1 Gbps (Gigabits per second) plans will be available in India to residential consumers. On connections like these, the same two hour HD movie will download in 30 seconds," Radius Infratel CEO Rajnish Wahi said.

If he could also tell us where to legally download HD movies from, that'd be great.

lol. airtel advertises such statements in their ads. 😀 he is just making a point. though a very stupid one. 🙂

they can't offer decent 2Mbps plans in here ( Delhi ) without crap FUP and low prices... dreaming about 1GBps lolz

from what i see, they are not talking about the data limits in that pr piece. so it could very well be 100GB at 1gbps for 2000 bucks. speed is not the bigger problem in india where our beloved ISPs have started focusing these days. it is becoming all about the data.

🙂
lol MediaFire is here and MediaFire is all Pirated Stuff, buy the Original DVDs it would be much better.🙂

Agree with you. Competition will be stiffer in next couple of years. It will bring good service and lucrative offers to customers, I guess.
But we have to wait till infra develops.

About Radius infratel,
I think they are confused between Residential and corporate customers. Frankly, speaking you all might heard about Radius Infratel but I have not heard about it before. First time, I heard the name.

It seems file sharing websites are heading to India to attract customers as we all know that we have liberal cyber laws at here. We got mediafire. I would love to see KimDotCom and link-removed on this forum.

I also came running on the the forum after reading this statement from radius just to check what are their current offerings and location of service.Never heard of this ISP before, nor i see any section in the forum dedicated to this or their product which they call NANO (Correct me if i am wrong).any ideas of pricing and stuff.. i do not want 1GBPS FUP plan with 1MB FUP limit for INR 100000000000000000000000000 with service tax extra and post that 128kbps for rest of the life coz the fup will not get updated at the end of billing cycle.back to the main point, any pointers to radius current locations and plan offerings.

lol. do not expect too much. all of these ISPs keep on talking about high speed internet. no one highlights the actual product they are going to deliver. 1gbps is all cool. but if you are going to charge 20/50/100 rupees per GB of data, what is the whole point? 🙂
