Bsnl Fiber not working

Perhaps in your case like @vishalrao suggested, the LCO's / BSNL's OLT does require authentication and authentication is failing causing things to not work.

What is the reason, the LCO or BSNL contact person is giving for things not working?
 
he just said that it's a back end issue and i think he did mentioned olt is offline it will be fixed in a couple of hourswhe he said has gone live today at around 7 pm,i am sorry i don't have much knowledge in that regard
 
@SFTBNIAH 1. What is brand & modem number of the ONT?
2. How much they take for ONT and Installtion?
3. How far is the dp box from your house and did they take any extra charge for fiber cable?
 

1. Model number is SY-GPON-1110-WDONT brand is Syrotech g/EPON-onu.
2. total it cost me Rs 3600 including 2500 for the router, 777 one month advance bill andrest was installation charges i guess.
3. it's around 40 to 50 metres from my house, they said that they will provide 50 mtrs cable and if extra is used i will have to pay for it at the cost of Rs 10 per mtr but in my case extra wasn't used.
 
BSNL will always fall victim to basic script kiddies with their BSNL wala Babus. Like I keep saying in the other threads. Simple security measures would've prevented these kind of attacks. Their password for their test PPPoE is password123 🤣 at least in my state a few months ago.

1. Can you please share the pic of that dp box?

2. Also, can you please share your first bill? (Hide the name & phone number. Bill should be available on bsnl portal website?

3. Have you got landline device free with ont included in total Rs3000? Because @abhinavmail1 got a landline with same ont and he also paid total Rs3000.

But BSNL gets the award for setting up customer accounts with the password password and in some states they don't even have Mac binding. Atleast in my case, there is Mac binding, so it's like a second layer of auth.

And BSNL doesn't even let the average customer know that they are supposed to change their PPPoE creds let alone provide a way to do it. I had to email them for several weeks to get a link where the password change option works. 🤐

BSNL Shillong said this is not possible to me... I'm tired of this shit really. But I have no other ISP choice.
