The Olympics will take place without spectators in host city Tokyo, organisers said on Thursday, as a resurgent coronavirus forced Japan to declare a state of emergency in the capital that will run throughout the Games.
Older Olympians will be proving that age is just a number in Tokyo. Carli Lloyd is going to be 39 when she plays for the U.S. women's soccer team, but she's not even the oldest soccer player competing this summer.
Meanwhile, speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, the IOC president, Thomas Bach, gave a curt response when asked about the women’s players taking a knee. “It is allowed,” he said. “It is no violation of Rule 50. That is expressively what is allowed in these guidelines.”
This Bach guy seems to be very diplomatic. He says kneeling is allowed, but also we won't show these kind of images so as to prevent the protest from going to outside world.
Great way to show Olympics is about fairness and equality. 👏
Heard somewhere that Prasar Bharathi has bagged the rights to telecast the Olympics in India. But, i don't find any schedule on DD Sports or DD National. Neither did i see today's broadcast of Olympics on any sports channel. Can anyone confirm where it is being aired?
Also, i guess there is a Youtube Channel like before, where live broadcast of all events will be presented. Is this live this time?
In India, Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be broadcast on Sony Sports Network, and will be live streamed on SonyLIV. National broadcaster Prasar Bharati's Doordarshan will also broadcast the Tokyo Olympics live.
DD Direct Plus or Free Dish can view Olympics on DD Sports 1.
