I have 100 Mbps spectra and airtel dth.
Airtel is offering me 799+299/- with unlimited vfiber at 40 Mbps in my area....is it worth to go for airtel broadband just for Xstream?

Xstream is fiber which is ftth.
Vdsl is vfiber which is copper at last mile.

Max dl speed in vfiber is 100mbps depending on lenght of copper wire and may not feasible along with lower upload speeds upto 50mbps max.
For 40mbps plan only 10-15mbps speed i think.

yeah if you are happy with spectra. stay with it. fiber is always going to be better than vdsl. spectra is known to throttle torrents. airtel is known to block an excessive number of web domains. so both are shitty in that regards. if upload speeds are not important and you are facing issues with spectra... it might be worth considering switching considering you probably do not have unlimited data on spectra at 100mbps right?

@starlord Who told you that?
You still need to recharge your Airtel DTH account monthly to watch content on Xstream box.And the Xstream app subscription is complementary only for a year, you would have to pay after that.

Spectra is dogshit ISP, literally worst I have used even when compared to sify which I had 15 years ago.
Throttling, terrible latency, frequent disconnection ranging anywhere from 60 seconds to 30 minutes multiple times a day.
Now I know not every area will face frequent disconnection but you will definitely see throttling and unstable latency.

Ok...so i got airtel now.
Which router is best for their vfiber in wifi-range etc
They provide their own dual band router without any charge, atleast they did to me but I paid Rs799 for 100mbps plan(150gb) and after my data got consumed I recharged it with 299 unlimited topup.
