Mate, I'm also from Shillong. BSNL FTTH is working fine for me. 100 Mbps+ for both download/upload at night.

Day time performance = shit because TechDyrect the LCO in Shillong only has 1 Gbps uplink to their OLT number 1 and 2. There are approximately 600 customers split between the two OLTs. Obviously 1 Gbps uplink is a joke. That's not enough to handle 10 customers on 100 Mbps plan.

If you live near BSNL exchange, chances are you are taking the fibre directly from BSNL. Go to NIB and tell them to check your port profile.

Also avoid using the crap ONT they give you, it's probably from a brand nobody ever heard of. Put it in bridge mode and use your own router to establish PPPoE connection. Use CAT7 LAN Cable to get rid of bottlenecks.

Has BSNL capped the upload speed to 1/10th of the download speed like Jio did? Or is it only me. I am on 100Mbps plan. Earlier I used to get more than 100Mbps upload speed but now I am getting around only 10Mbps.

I am using alliance broadband and paying only 700rs incl tax. I am getting 50mb/s download+ 20mb/s upload and most importantly no FUP. Truely unlimited.

So no one except the OP having issues? Im about to get BSNL, also have a choice of opting for Railwire
After registering complaint on pgportal, I am now getting 200Mbps upload and download on my 100Mbps plan. I think BSNL is giving me 200Mbps U/D out of anger for the complaint on pgportal.😂

I never had any problem till about a week back both daytime and at night. Only the upload speed was not going above 10Mbps at night for about a week. After registering the complaint, now everything is more than ok. Yup, I am using the LCO ont in bridge mode and connected to my TP-Link AX3000 router using Cat 7 cable.

What's the procedure to complain on PGPortal?

Edit: I posted on PGPortal. How long did it take for your problem to be solved? @thadougamer

Also, can you show some speedtest.net screenshots?

Connect to ACT Fibernet Bangalore and Jio Navi Mumbai for speed test. I want to see both speed and latency to both states.

Well just after I commented I've been experiencing very low speeds to AWS and Azure. And well, of course, 5Mbps upload speeds.
