On that point, a friend of mine had Vodafone working fine at office, but not at his home where he shifted to, where Airtel was better - Jio had mixed results. So he kept switching providers - because he was using an iPhone. I used to tease him to throw it in dustbin and get a dual sim Android 😀 . He carried a second basic phone for some time - till Airtel improved at his home as well.

I am using 2 options . My primary sim is bsnl which i am using for years mainly for calling purposes , as my primary contact number. For the other sim , i have 3 sims, each one i gets recharge for 1 month , since only of them will be better in place where i am commuting, but with vi completing their integration in my homeplace , i hvae ditched others and kept vi only

Check out my Speedtest result! How fast is your internet?

At the same time this is the speeds I got in my home town with b3+b41 aggregated that too in outdoors . I don't understand why the upload is getting that much higher....its almost half of what my phone supports in unlink..

I know it's offtopic, Airtel in my case does come close... I did get once around 81-82 Mbps in morning with signal db -96. Had I been more close to tower it could have given higher speeds.
Point is, how well optimised your bands are? 2CA can be worse than no CA if there is no optimisation.
When VI is complete with its integration and optimised bands it can go higher than Jio and Airtel.

@Tejas01 In my HomeTown i don't think its so much optimised, while in kochi which is 60.kms from my place its very well optimsed ,like when u turn mobile data its directly latching to 4g+ sign, but their integration has been completed 2018 or something. Whereas in my place its completed 2 months before

Is there any method to check how well are the bands are optimized, like checking rsrp,or rsrq values or something

@socrates if u are having samsung phone , u can check by *#0011# select the sim and check whether ca is there, or simpler is if u are getting 4g+ u will be on ca

As for m series only high end m series phones supports upto 2ca only, like.m40, for the rest there is no ca

I was happy Vodafone customer till June 2020:
Here is my short story or observation:

My plan: Entertainment plus Plan 499 (75 GB)
Circle: MH & Goa

Vi Towers is just adjacent (50 meters) to my home.

I used to get 90+ Mbps (consistent) indoor that too in peak hours before June 2020. Non peak hours it was above 150+ Mbps. After 19th July 2020 suddenly speeds dropped to only 20 Mbps, call quality became worse (sometime calls does not get connected). Till August end it was hell for me to survive since 4G is my primary connection. At August end I was frustrated due to poor voice calls and 4G became very unstable (speeds where less 1 Mbps). So I decided to port my number Airtel. So same area, same phone, same sim but poor network. I have heard from people that poor network improving but in my case it was opposite that excellent network got worst to a case that all the people in my area are now opting away from Vi.

My observation: Though I don't have screenshots for proof but I pakka remember these facts:

Before June 2020: Band 1(2100) and Band 3(1800) was 20 MHz and Band 8(900) was 10 MHz with MIMO on Band 3

After June 2020 till now: Band 1(2100) and band 3(1800) is 10 MHz and Band 8(900) is 5 MHz

From this I observe that they cut slashed to half there bandwidth on the tower site from which I get signal. Even now during power cuts signal strength drops to -110 dBm then normal which is -85 dBm

Even now (December 2020) also my fathers number is Vodafone (Vi). Every time anyone try to call him the other side people get message that the users phone is swichted off which is not the case. Despite complaining they haven't improved. so I am thinking to port my parents numbers to Jio/Airtel.

I wish they improve the network in my area so that they won't lose valuable customers.

Btw Vi has only 15Mhz b1 and 10mhz B3 while 5Mhz is running 3G and 10Mhz running 4G on B1 and B8 maybe 10mhz but 5mhz maybe only running rest is running 2G

@amalrakoff I know the case that Vi have 15MHz B1 and 10MHz B3, but that what I said earlier that I don't have screenshots to proof that 20MHz which I used to get in service menu *#0011# before June 2020, after or now I am getting only 10MHz on B1 & B3 and 5MHz on B8

@devangpatel btw its not possible to deploy 20mhz with only having 15 and 10mhz since they had only 15 and 10mhz, idk maybe bugged service mode even sometimes NSG also shows Wrong info
