How to get your vehicle's RC added to Vahan Database?

For some reason my vehicle details are not entered in the Vahan database. So now I have to spend time, money & energy to get it entered. All details given to RTO over a week ago but I still can't see the details in mparivahan app or digilocker app. So much time for a simple data entry job.
Why not allow owners to enter details with necessary checks & balances. All the more galling is because just a few years ago the passing of this vehicle was done & data entry then was done including payment of relevant fees was done online. When the starting point of a system is faulty how can this system be user friendly. Poor system designing or screwed up by corruption. So much for Digital India. 🥴😲

try to clear your web browser history. that might fix the problem.

Done. Not visible in browser or in the 2 apps. After writing to both app developers they say it does not exist in database & data entry is done at local RTO level. So I am told to contact them & we all know how they work. What a crappy system.

@socrates maybe it will just take some time due to high workload or lazy people at RTO. when i bought new car last year my RC smart card was supposed to come within 1-2 months but it actually got delivered after 6 months to my home 🙂

😲😱🥴🤔 Hmm you maybe right. I was promised 7-10 days😏. On twitter I had read if your record does not appear in the Vahan database then even the center's doing the online puc will do it for a fee. Maybe I should have approached one of these but am not sure if someone is cutting corners.

my own car seems to be in database so i guess that saves me some trouble. have to get puc done by next month. would find out if the system is changed here as well.

Here we have petrol pumps doin both online puc (valid for a year) & some doing the old method valid for 3 months.

Details have made a grand entrance in the mparivahan app on my phone 🙄🙏
