The short answer is no. Airtel does not care about what your router shows until they themselves upgrade your area to 40Mbps. I had a 40Mbps Vfiber connection for a long time. First I also used to get around 25Mbps as the exchange switch was a little far. It was in the next building but took a circuitous route. My router used to show around 50Mbps as max but they didn't care. After 6 months they put a booster switch and then we started getting 45Mbps. Now for a year after this my router showed maximum speed possible as 107 but despite talking to CC, local technical team manager and even the Airtel chief manager for the area, they kept insisting that 40Mbps was the max on my connection.
