yeah. who has basically said that this would only work if the government is using this time to prepare for what happens in 2-3 weeks time. more beds. more medical supplies. more volunteers. use stadiums and similar large spaces and get them ready for massive outbreak in the coming days. damage has largely been done by forcing people to move from big cities to smaller towns and villages.
and good amount of population in india lives in slums where it is not possible to maintain proper hygiene or social distancing, god knows how many of them are already infected, a slum is like a breeding ground for virus infections.
I personally think a lot of damage has already been done, number of people that has already been infected is nowhere near in the ballpark of 600.
Utilizing the next 20 days efficiently is extremely important for a country especially like India, Economy decline might not be so bad for a country like USA but in India millions of people die because of economic problems, such a lockdown will be like aag mein ghee.
Too much will be lost if these golden 20 days is not utilized properly by the govt.
I am not at all against the lockdown at all but if these 20 days are wasted, i would feel pissed as hell.
