kerala tried but it was blocked through courts. if maha gets away with it, i assume more states might join. the revenue from liquor is too much to be ignored.

My point was as part of essential services, it's opened.. and we can't get basic electronic things anywhere. For eg in our kitchen our 10 year old exhaust fan picked not best time to stop working and no shop open to get it but online could have gotten easily if e com was allowed to function

Liquor in tamilnadu is exclusively handled by a state owned company called TASMAC(TamilNadu State Marketing Corporation) which has daily revenue of 90 crores.
State is losing out 90+ crores everyday due to closing of the liquor stores. As the AIADMK govt of TN indirectly aligned with the BJP they're not trying to open the liquor stores.

According to our CM, 2 crore (50%) of Delhi's population can't afford to buy grocery and essentials. How true it really is?

I guess everyone will get infected eventually there is no way to eradicate it completely. Only thing lockdowns can do is to give time to govts to prepare themselves.

Hopefully some vaccine or better effective (high success rate) treatment is found soon.
