@socrates Admin account has the permission to change guest password. I dont think i needed to login as a guest to change it.
I think you meant to ask can we login to router using guest login. Yes you can but that account will not allow you to make any changes in its settings and most options visible to admin are hidden from guest account.

@Nitin You can change router login password as well as wifi password.

I meant can anyone login to wifi thru the guest login? Like we do on other routers. On my modem the so called guest login is just for viewing the modem settings. Why would I even allow anyone near my modem 🤔

@socrates By 'login to wifi' do you mean login to the router settings page or connect to a wireless network?
Like @terminator881 said, a guest login on the router page allows you to view the settings of your router. You cannot make any changes to the settings. Changes can be made only if you login through the admin account.

No they cant...I think you are confusing guest wifi account with guest router account. To connect to your wifi they would need your wifi password and only then they can use guest router account to view router settings.
JIO dont have any default guest wifi account afaik so anyone who wants to connect to your wifi would need the wifi password you set during the installation.Dont worry about this guest router account. its not an issue.

@ap99 Is it necessary to change gateway's password?. I don't even use the gateway's wifi. I have connected my own router to it
It is highly advisable to change the password for better security. Almost all the articles published about wireless security mention this as the first point.

You do have guest wifi accounts in Jio router. There are total 6 access points which you can set up.
The first three (ap1, ap2, ap3) are 2.4 GHz among which ap1 is the primary wifi account and the other two are guest wifi accounts.
Similarly the other three (ap4, ap5, ap6) are 5 GHz among which ap4 is the primary account and the other two are guest wifi accounts.
