I connect bsnl ftth connection media converter to Cisco router rv340w, via pppoe configuration, type username and password correctly..can't get internet via lan cable and wifi.. What is the problem.??
Get Internet via media converter with dailup with computer

Is the PPPoE auth succeeding on the Cisco device? Could you please share the authentication log?

Most likely this could be due to Mac binding where the PPP auth succeeds only from the whitelisted Mac address.

Also, by the media converter, you are referring to a EPON/GPON ONT right? Or is your installation different?

At present, Syrotech modems are only suggestable for Barath fiber ftth connections which has the GEPON method of connection. If you could get a chance to reach the BSNL head office in your location like Bengaluru, you can get the GEPON configuration and try with Cisco modem.

Trust this helps.

You will need a a device that should be able to do handshake with OLT using GPON/EPON protocols.

Now, your media converter is a dumb device doing only optical to copper conversion and I doubt that your Cisco router has support for GEPON. I think that may be the reason of failure.
