Random WiFi disconnections on Airtel Xstream box

Hello, everyone! I upgraded to the Xstream box last year in October. It has been fine, up until now. For some strange reason, WiFi on the 5Ghz band keeps disconnecting. It'll show up as 'excellent' signal, yet when I click connect, it shows connecting for like 5 seconds and then shows 'saved.'

There are no issues with the 2.4Ghz band, and I don't think it's a range issue either, because yesterday 5Ghz seemed to work fine for almost 2 hours at a stretch. And today it barely seems to connect. The router is in the next room and other devices seem to have no problems connecting to WiFi. Can anybody help?

Looks like a software issue to me. Try resetting your xstream box or router and see.

Got resolved with previous updates. Update your box to the latest version.
 
Can anyone please tell if it is an Android STB, then can we use VPN on it to stream YouTube videos which are currently restricted in India ( which says "not available in your country"). I can stream them on my mobile using VPN but is it possible on Airtel xstream STB?

I am having Airtel Xstream STB in my DTH . Since one month , I am having issues with Youtube . The app opens , but the screen freezes immediately . It does not stream . When I reported to the CC , they are telling that it is a universal problem and they are taking with Google regarding this bug . Is anyone using this stb facing the same issue ? Kindly reply .
 
Yes same case with my STB..zee5 app also same case.

Software is buggy in Xtreme box
