I purchased a internet from Jiofibre on 28 Dec 2019, the internet stopped working on 5 th January 2020, complaint was lodged the next morning but after repeated reminders the broken line was fixed on 9th complaint no was SR0000ZZR3J
I am now asking Jiofibre to enhance the date of validity for the period they have not been able to provide me services they say there is no such provision. This is not justified.

Post the same stuff in twitter with proof. They may help you.

Major ISPs do not extend the validity of your account for the period lost due to internet problems. Let’s say if the electricity goes off for day , can we expect the the electricity board to give us monetary benefit ?

You May be able to get some additional data voucher if you fight your case long enough but imo they will never extend the validity by 4 days , there may be no such provision.

Ok maybe my example was wrong then but what I mean is that they will never extend the validity for such issues.

Comparing it with MTNL will be more apt. Sometimes my Mtnl landline phone goes dead for 3-4 days. Will they ever charge me monthly rental on pro rata basis for the days used, or txt end my billing period by 4 days ?

Apparently there is a TRAI order (?) that ISPs have to compensate 7 days bill for outage more than 3 days and 15 days bill for outage more than 7 days and for outage more than 15 days then the whole month bill is to be refunded.

Not sure difference with postpaid versus prepaid though.

Actually MTNL has a rule that if your line is dead for 3 consecutive days or more, they give you a rebate.

BSNL adjusts the amount if you ask them! Don’t know about MTNL but I guess it’s the same

I respectfully disagree. That is basic procedure. If the service is not provided then the money should be refunded or a grace period provided. Why should a customer pay when no service is provided?
